If a character has at least 8 hours of complete rest, he or she recovers all Vigor points. If a character has taken Wound damage, he or she must make a Toughness roll at the beginning of each day. If the roll has at least one Success the character heals one point of Wound damage. Every two Raises returns another Health Point. A critical failure means your recovery has taken a turn for the worse and you take Wound Point Damage equal to the negative value of the roll. If you are receiving medical attention, your caregiver can either make a medicine related roll in place of your Toughness save, or Assist your Toughness save with his or her check. [In a Gritty game, you must have medical attention to recover Wound Points.]
If a character is Dying, he or she must receive medical attention to recover Health Points. Dying Points are recovered before Wound Points, but are otherwise healed in the same manner.
